There are people who have some sort of undying allegiance to a company. Whatever the company does, they love it, no matter what. I'm not just talking about McToys here - doesn't matter if it's Apple, or Nike, or whatever. I don't get it. I buy what I like, what performs, what works. Whoever does that, gets my money.
Then there are those that seem to end up on the opposite end. At some point, they decide a company is the evil of all evils, that they do nothing but wrong, and are to be slammed whenever possible. I don't get that either. Again, it's not about the company, it's about the product. If they make something I don't like, I complain - no problem. That doesn't mean everything they do is bad, or that they are looking to screw people at every chance (any more than any other profit based company).
When it comes to McToys, sometimes they do very good things, and sometimes they don't. I have no problem with the theory of the accessory pack - it's actually a fairly cool idea, and it would be great to get more accessories for other lines that well. I do think they picked some bad choices to include - why the hell do I have to buy the pack to get any six guns for Billy? Seems like that would be the obvious choice for him to carry.
Some folks also have trouble articulating their thoughts without throwing in as many rude comments as possible. It's not the swearing so much, as the lack of respect for anyone not holding your opinion. It's one thing to tell somebody on the street just what you think of their relationship with their mother (or their favorite toy company president), and another entirely to do it when you're supposedly trying to make an intelligent point.
